1st DAY: PALERMO
Arrival in Palermo at the airport. Landing operations. Hospitality. Coach Transfer a Palermo. Orientation tour in the historical axes of the city: Viale della Libertà, Via Maqueda, the ancient Cassaro, and the 4 songs of the historical mandates. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation in reserved rooms. Lunch. Afternoon visit of some places of Baroque Palermo, the scene of several film realizations from post-war to the present day (Visconti at Palazzo Butera Ganci, Neorealism films and productions films of the new Palermo mafia). Evening excursion to Mondello and Sferracavallo. famous stations seaside tourist. Typical dinner based on fish. Return to the hotel and overnight.
2nd DAY: PALERMO / BAGHERIA / CEFALU / PALERMO
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Bagheria. Visit of the historic villas of Bagheria with Baroque charm. In particular, we will visit: Villa Palagonia, known as the "Monsters" and Villa Cattolica, seat of the Guttuso Museum. At Villa Rammacca, the first take of "Il Gattopardo" by Visconti. Lunch at the seaside resort. In the afternoon continuation to Cefalù. Arrival and visit of the Norman town with its historic centre dominated by the architecture of the Duomo, a 12th century masterpiece. I'm going back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
3rd DAY: PALERMO / SEGESTA / SELINUNTE / AGRIGENTO
Breakfast at the hotel. Accommodation in coach and departure for Segesta. Visit of the Doric Temple e continuation to Selinunte. Visit of the Archaeological Zone. Stop on the Acropolis, in front of the Temple of Apollo. Lunch at the Farmhouse. Continuation to Agrigento. Short stop at Luigi's Birthplace Pirandello at the "Kaos". Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in reserved rooms, dinner. In the evening, visit the Valley of the Temples illuminated. Overnight at Hotel.
4th DAY: AGRIGENTO / RAGUSA
Breakfast at the hotel. Accommodation by coach and transfer to the Valley of the Temples. Visit of the area archaeological: Temple of Juno, Temple of Concordia, Temple of Hercules and Temple of Zeus. Lunch in a restaurant and continuation along the coast road to Ragusa. Visit of the historic center of the ancient Ibla: Church of Purgatory, Old Market, Cathedral of San Giorgio, San Giuseppe and Jewish Garden. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in reserved rooms. Dinner. Overnight.
5th DAY: RAGUSA / MODICA / SCICLI / RAGUSA
Breakfast at the hotel. Accommodation in coach and departure for Modica. Visit of the city: Cathedral of St. George, St. Peter's Cathedral, Quasimodo House (Literary Itinerary), Santa Maria di Belem. Lunch in the restaurant. In the afternoon continuation to Scicli, a UNESCO heritage site. Visit of medieval and baroque old town, theater of many film sets, from neorealism to the age Contemporary. I'm going back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
6th DAY: RAGUSA / NOTO / SYRACUSE
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning transfer to Punta Secca (Marina di Ragusa), famous location of the film set of the fiction "Il Commissario Montalbano". Continuation to Noto. Visit of the city: Porta Reale, Santissimo Salvatore, Palazzo Ducezio, Cathedral, Palazzo Villa Adorata, etc. Lunch at restaurant. Departure for Syracuse. Walk in the historic center of Ortigia. Hotel accommodation in rooms reserved. Dinner. Overnight.
7th DAY: SYRACUSE / CATANIA
Breakfast at the hotel. Accommodation by coach and transfer to the archaeological area of Syracuse. Visit of the Greek Theater, Altar of Jerone, Ear of Dionysus. Lunch in the restaurant. Departure for Catania. Arrival and visit of the Etna city, on the ancient axis between Porta Uzeda, Piazza Stesicoro and Villa Bellini, places made famous by directors of the caliber of Francis Ford Coppola, Pasolini, Castellani, Wertmuller. Lunch at restaurant. Visit to the spectacular Villa Biscari where scenes from the film "I Vicerè" were filmed Roberto Faenza, a sort of Leopard. Accommodation in hotel in Acireale. 8th DAY: RIVIERA DEI CICLOPI / SAVOCA / CATANIA
Breakfast at the hotel and visit to the birthplace of Giovanni Verga, the author of "I Malavoglia". Visit overview of the Cyclops Riviera. Stop in Acitrezza and visit of the Castle and the house of Nespolo where are the finds of the tools used during the period in which "I Malavoglia" took place. Continuation to Savoca where the most significant scenes of the "Godfather" were filmed. Ancient village where the Bar still exists with the courtyard that served as the backdrop for the film scenes.
