Plan:
1st DAY: PALERMO
Arrival in Palermo at the airport. Landing operations. Hospitality. Transfer by coach to Palermo. Tour guidance along the historic axes of the city: Viale della Libertà, Via Maqueda, the ancient Cassaro, and the 4 Canti dei historical mandates. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation in reserved rooms. Lunch. In the afternoon continuation of the monumental visit with a stop in some historic Palermo pastry shops. (They are recommended tastings of cannoli, Sicilian cassata, martorana fruits, almond paste, etc. Among the wines, we recommend the Moscato and Passito di Pantelleria). Time available. Evening excursion to Mondello and Sferracavallo. Dinner typical fish based. Return to the hotel and overnight.
2nd DAY: PALERMO
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning dedicated to visiting the Arab markets of Palermo: Vucciria market (the ancient loggia) and Capo market. Walk among the colorful shops, where you can watch the sale of the goods of typical vendors. Lunch at the "Antica Focacceria San Francesco" based on panelle, croquettes, spleen, sfincione, scones with ricotta, etc. In the afternoon walk among the historical monuments of the city, from Piazza Marina to the Palazzo dei Normanni (historic axis). Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
3rd DAY: PALERMO / SEGESTA / SELINUNTE / SCIACCA / AGRIGENTO
Breakfast at the hotel. Accommodation by coach and departure for the visit of the Doric Temple of Segesta. Continuation to Selinunte. Visit the Eastern Temples and the Acropolis. Lunch at the Farmhouse. Continuation for Sciacca. Visit of the city: Piazza Scandaliato, Palazzo Steripinto and the Norman Cathedral. Continuation for Agrigento. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in reserved rooms, dinner and overnight.
4th DAY: AGRIGENTO / PIAZZA ARMERINA / SYRACUSE
Breakfast at the hotel. Accommodation by coach and departure for the visit of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento: Temple of Concordia, Temple of Hercules, Temple of Juno and Temple of Zeus (Telamoni). Continuation to Piazza Armerina. Lunch. Visit of the Villa Del Casale famous for its floor mosaics from the Roman period. Continuation to Syracuse. Arrival at the hotel, accommodation in the reserved rooms. Dinner and overnight.
5th DAY: SYRACUSE / MARZAMEMI / PACHINO / CAPO PASSERO / NOTO / SYRACUSE
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Marzamemi and Pachino, important places for fish processing box and various Sicilian fishing products. Continuation to Capo Passero. I arrive at the end south of the Sicilian coast facing the enchanting view of the Isola delle Correnti. Lunch in the restaurant. In the afternoon departure for Noto. Visit of the Baroque city: Porta Reale, Santissimo Salvatore, Palazzo Ducezio, Cathedral, Palazzo Villa Adorata, etc. In the evening return to Syracuse. Dinner and overnight.
6th DAY: SYRACUSE / RAGUSA IBLA / MODICA / SYRACUSE
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning departure for Ragusa. Visit of the historic center of Ibla: Old Cathedral, Giardino Ibleo, S. Giuseppe, Cathedral of S. Giorgio, etc. Lunch in the restaurant. Departure for Modica. Arrival and visit: Cathedral of San Giorgio, Cathedral of San Pietro, etc. Return in the late afternoon to Syracuse. Dinner and overnight.
7th DAY: SYRACUSE / ETNA / TAORMINA / NAXOS GIARDS
Breakfast at the hotel. Accommodation by coach and departure for the excursion to Etna (Rifugio Sapienza altitude 1,800 m). You will cross the old feuds cultivated with precious vines and citrus groves, beyond which the craters of
lava. Lunch. In the afternoon visit of Taormina international health resort overlooking the Ionian Sea; Greek Theatre, Palazzo Corvaja, Cathedral. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in reserved rooms. Dinner and overnight.
8th DAY: GIARDINI NAXOS / RIVIERA DEI CYCLOPS / CATANIA
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the panoramic visit of the Cyclops Riviera. Stop in Acitrezza. Continuation to Catania and visit of the Baroque city: Via Etnea, the Cathedral, Piazza del Municipio and the fountain of the elephant symbol of the city. Lunch in the restaurant. Accommodation in coach and departure for the airport Catania. Embarkation and departure operations for the original destination.
